Don't miss a thing

Baby carrying is fast becoming the trend for many dads across the globe. From baby slings, to ergo carriers, to hiking backpacks, baby carriers are taking over the world. With companies like Baby Bjorn, Phil & Teds & Stokke leading the way for dads everywhere to carry their babies, it’s now fashionable to be carrying your baby. There are so many options on the market; Some just a simple piece of material, some with carabiners and heavy duty fabric, some with reinforced frames, some for front carrying and some for back carrying… you name it, there’s probably a carrier that does it.

So we’ve taken 5 popular carriers and put them through their paces. We’ve compared the price, how easy it is to use and how comfortable it is to wear, to build a big picture and ultimately find out which is the best baby carrier!

This blog is perfect timing we are looking to get a new “dad looking carrier” Carl prefers the Hiking look but with so many out there which one do you choose? How many shops do you go to, to try them out? I love the look of the Phil and Teds one so we will certainly try it out.

    Thanks Dad Network.

You’re welcome! Phil & Teds is very good! But also the baby bjorn is just wonderful. If you had to pin me down… I’d go for the Baby Bjorn.

Useful comparisons. We have a Lillebaby Complete, which is great. Very easy to put on and adjust. I’d definitely recommend it (although it looks like you’re sorted for now!)

Always great to hear recommendations from others too :) Thank you.

I have loved my Baby Bjorn, can’t fault it in any way! Little D is just about to grow out of it so I might have to check out the Phil & Teds option for country walks.

Baby bjorns are the absolute worst carriers on the market. They are known as crotch danglers as they are not ergonomically safe for a baby’s hips and legs.

Thanks for your comment – I’ve never heard that before. I think that the paediatric experts that baby bjorn work with approve every design.

Good idea but unfortunately, I can’t see your picture to check the comparison. It keeps saying there’s an error in it. Please check and let me know when you check back.
