Bristol Zoo Gardens has 12 acres of beautiful grounds, award-winning gardens and over 400 exotic and endangered species from all over the world. As well as the wonderful animals there is an adventure playground and even a water play area.
Board the giant glass viewing pod and glide up gently to 450ft where you can see city landmarks, artwork on the rooftops, wind farms at sea and the rolling coastline stretching away to the horizon. The ‘flights’ take approximately 25 minutes and depart every half an hour.
There are three different species of Otters to see: the native British otter, the playful Asian short clawed otters and the large North American river otters, with feeding times at 11.30am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Enjoy and learn about the tropical butterflies in a specially designed habitat that you can enter. You can also see birds, fish and terrapins.
