No-one ever reads the terms & conditions of anything anymore… And we have no idea what we’re signing up to… Being a dad is no different!!! It’s just like reading Terms & Conditions, you have no idea what you’re signing up to but you still just click “I Agree” …

Thank you. I know, only too true!

This is funny and entirely true! Just discovered your site – not sure how I didn’t come across it before. I’ve so enjoyed looking around – great to get more of a male perspective which can be a bit rare int he blogging world.

Thanks so much! You’re welcome any time! :)

  2. Harry's Honest Mummy

When I got to the bit about “giving up the rights to a lie-in, conversations about anything other than babies, sex, and a clean car” I couldn’t see for the tears of laughter. This is genius! Great post. #TwinklyTuesday

Ah! Thank you! Pleased it’s providing some good entertainment!

  3. Chlo

This is brilliant. I hate to admit that this is so true. I’m ummming & ahhhing about showing this to my other half. He’ll find it so funny & relatable, but then he’ll be onto us mums as well haha. x

Good grief, I’m glad to say I read through that list and regularly break every T&C. That’s just the type of guy I am!

  5. Claire - Unfiltered Mama

I need to print this up for my husband so he’ll realize that 90% of his spare time being voided was part of what he signed up for! :) This is great!!

  6. Lianne @ one of each kind

Hilarious post :) very accurate I think, although I wouldn’t bother with the decline button as there isn’t really an option to decline. Thank you for hosting #Bigfatlinky

  7. Mrs Tubbs

Rev T knows what you mean about hanging round playgrounds etc as he was a stay at home dad! Made him so cross!

Made me snort coffee whilst reading, always the sign of a really funny post! #bigfatlinky

  8. A Cornish Mum

Ha love it! Cheeky but funny ;) Guessing Jen didn’t moderate you this time!

    Stevie #bigfatlinky :)

  9. Silly Mummy

How could you?! The terms & conditions are supposed to be very well hidden, in a basement, guarded by a lion – not out in the world for everyone to know what they are agreeing to! #bigfatlinky

  10. Mummy Fever

Hmmm this doesn’t really apply in our house but now I know that these are the rules I will pass them on #bigfatlinky

This is excellent, love the layout and it’s a great read. If I had a significant other I’d definitely share it with him and I bet most, if not all, men will identify with this. #BigFatLinky

  12. Lucy at Occupation:(m)other

Very clever post. ‘I see you dressed the children today’ particularly resonates…I’m always baffled by my husband’s choice of clothes for our boy – at 3 months he went through a ‘let’s dress him like the russian mafia phase’. Um, what!!?? #bigfatlinky

  13. Becky, Cuddle Fairy

Hahaha we definitely need a mum version of this!! I laughed at the collecting information that could be used in the future lol Thanks so much for hosting #bigfatlinky

  14. Justin Wallace

About halfway through I had to take a break. I couldn’t see any longer because I had tears of laughter blocking my vision. You put a lot of work into that agreement, and it is equal parts scarily accurate and wonderfully funny. Well played good sir, well played.

  15. Kelly

Ohh come on! Us Mums aren’t that strict…are we? I read this and laughed, and then went, shit….it’s all true. Great post :) #bigfatlinky

Any success is pretty good going mate!

  16. Kelly Edwards

Haha, I should have got my other half to sign up to these! Great idea. :o) #bigfatlinky

  17. Natasha

haha brilliant! so funny and so true. I especially love the email address at the end ;-) #bigfatlinky

  18. Anna busby

i love this ! so true! Genuinely think this should be made a legal requirement !! lol ! :)

I can so resonate with this… no wonder my wife and kids call me “money bags!”
