The first week is a free-for-all, so why not have some fun!
In our experience, everyone always seems to play a little safe on the first week. Check out the newly promoted teams
Knowledge is power, and that equals points! So if you’re a budding Premier League fan but a little green when it comes to the Championship, now is the time to research the newly promoted teams. How about going for a Teemu Pukki, the Norwich goal machine. Or for Brentford, their talisman Ivan Toney is a nailed choice.
Try not to be too biased with your own players
We all know how hard it is sometimes to resist a team filled with your favourite players. However, remember the goal is about points and not loyalty! So why not trim down from three to one of your favourite team’s players, and slot in a few more sensible choices. We know it’s not easy, but it’s for the best!
Raphinia (Leeds United) – The skilful Brazilian playmaker is constant goal threat.
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) – The best set piece taker in the league, and all round midfielder.
Kai Havertz (Chelsea) – Building on a strong end to the season, Havertz looks in scintillating form.
Tomas Soucek (West Ham United) – The Czech giant loves a goal, having scored nine in last season’s campaign.
