Weaning is a topic that frequently comes up on Dadsnet’s Facebook group; predominantly discussing the mess associated with it! Nonetheless, it’s a critical phase of parenting and can have a huge impact on whether your child is a fussy eater or not!
With this in mind we were keen to share our thoughts on For Aisha; a company creating halal baby food dishes with exotic recipes inspired by exciting dishes from around the world. Their goal is to create flavoursome food that’s not just healthy – with 100% natural ingredients – but will also provide a great introduction to food and nutritious ingredients for little ones, and is much more exciting that what you might expect to find on the baby food aisle!
I mean, I love curry. And Chinese food. And Mexican. So why shouldn’t babies also be given the chance to enjoy the same cuisines? Here’s our For Aisha baby food review:
Review of For Aisha
Let’s explore some of their flagship flavours and see how they went down (literally) with my son.
The three that we chose to try:
- Chicken & Sweet Potato Curry
- Jamaican Jerk Chicken
- Green Bean & Lamb Curry
All three are incredibly flavoursome but the real thing to shout about is that they’re 100% natural, and packed with an array of healthy, exotic ingredients!
Jamaican jerk chicken baby food review
Let’s take the Jamaican Jerk Chicken for example;
Onion, tomato puree, water, mango puree, halal chicken meat, red pepper, white rice, sweetcorn, garlic, ginger, coriander, cinnamon, black pepper, thyme.
All that tasty goodness and nothing else! At the same time as I was testing these, Dadsnet also had a go at cooking them from scratch ourselves with the same tasty ingredients. And the result was fantastic! Being able to feed my little one an array of mouth-watering cuisines whilst knowing they’re also made with 100% natural ingredients and are nutritionist-approved is a great feeling.
And the best thing is that my son enjoyed eating the pouch as much as I enjoyed eating the dish that Dadsnet cooked from scratch. A big plus point in this baby food review.
Convenient baby food
Currently, For Aisha meals come in pouches or trays and both are very convenient! The pouches are ideal for when you’re out and about. If you’re heading out for a curry, take a pouch of For Aisha’s Chicken & Sweet Potato Curry and you can enjoy the flavours as a family.
Weaning is a key stage of infanthood and, if you ask me, ensuring that your baby is exposed to fantastic flavours, natural ingredients and healthy food is a no brainer.
So from me, just a dad weaning his son, and Dadsnet, we recommend For Aisha baby food for anyone heading into the weaning phase.
