ParticipantHello, I’m completely new to dadsnet so if I’ve done anything wrong please help me out.
To give a brief background my baby mother left before our son was born, she blocked me and anyone known to be associated to me off Facebook and all social media before removing herself from it entirely meaning it’s been hell getting any information for the courts about my son. He is one in a matter of weeks and there is a THIRD court hearing in just over a month, fingers crossed she will attend this one. I never did anything to make her want to leave and was nothing but good to her during our relationship so why we broke up is still a mystery, she just never responded to a message one day.
Out the blue yesterday, my mother got a text off my ex’s mother asking if the four of us and grandfathers can meet up, could this in anyway affect my upcoming court case? Would it be a smart idea to go or not? Any and all advice is appreciated.
Ash

ParticipantColin: If you are going through court I would advise NOT to go. Unless done in front of professional witnesses such as mediators. This could backfire hugely.

ParticipantAlan: Definitely wouldn’t meet if there’s an ongoing case. It could be completely innocent but something would be niggling at me that they are afraid of the court as they know they are in the wrong (I know there’s 2 sides to every story though). If you do decide to meet up, as has been said, do it with an official mediator present so there’s no tricks involved
