Hi all,
I am a single dad with full time caring responsibilities for my soon to be 5 year old.
I wouldn’t trade this for anything in the world but it does heavily restrict my socialising and puts a lot of limitations to what I can do in my “free” time.
Are there any others in my situation on here and if so, how do you cope?
I have been going it alone for almost 3 years now and it can get lonely.

Hi Rob I am afraid that I cant help here from perosblq experience. But I would definitely recommend find your local dadsnet community, these normally arrange social events and meets up could be a good place to start.

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply.
That was one of the first places I checked when I came on here but unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anything at all for Northern Ireland and I know there is a link for setting one up but I don’t have that kind of free time myself.

Currently living in Belfast but only for the last few years. I would know very few local parents on the area.
