ParticipantHi all there has been some chat around Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD) this includes Asperger’s Syndrome. I have personally grown up with ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Dyspraxia. My son has I’m an addineeds teaching assistant and care worker. In my roles I have supported and referred children for assessment including my own son who has just been diagnosed with Dyspraxia and ADHD, with talk of ASD. Feel free to ask questions and I’ll do my best to answer, or find links that can help answer your questions.

ParticipantI’ve known children as young as 2-3 to be diagnosed with autism but most doctors are reluctant to give a diagnoses until a child is at least 4-6

ParticipantWe had concerns about my eldest with some of this but haven’t managed to find any concrete.
He does seem to be slowly improving, so we are assuming that it’s just been a phase.
I believe he was taken to the doctors without my knowledge to be tested on the autism spectrum but I never heard anymore after that.
