ParticipantI’m very new to this type of thing but I’m personally getting to the end of my tether with the mother of my child. We split up three years ago and we have both moved on with new partners, making the move away from my home town to start a fresh & try and move on with my life. Unfortunately for me & my new fiancé we are constantly being harassed and sometimes verbally abused by the mother of my child. I have always tried to see my boy and do right by him. Always paid maintenance to his mother and I feel like I can’t go on much longer fighting to have a relationship through someone who is making my life a living hell. Currently I am looking into legal proceedings to cut contact with her completely. Does anyone have any advise on starting this process and if anyone could point me in the right direction of more information on my rights in this circumstance that would be a massive help.

ParticipantHi Jack, I was advised to keep a diary/log of everything so that you can reference in future, which would support you if you needed to go to family court or seek legal advice. There are some articles on IPV for men which is worth reading but it is important to record events for evidence.
Hope this helps.
