ParticipantHello
My baby boy is 3 weeks old, and was three weeks premature.
While Ive found my girlfriends and I’s new world a real challenge, I feel like we’ve gotten through it pretty well. However, whenever things go wrong (ie outside of the normal changing/feeding/burping/getting baby to sleep things) I just panic and break down, I can’t handle the stress and feel like I can’t do this, I can’t be a dad, I just want to run.
I’ve battled anxiety all my life but only over the last 10 years found avenues to deal with it correctly, and this is just new baby stress is just too much for me. I don’t want to write ‘help’ but I really can’t think of anything better to say.
Is this normal?
Is there a helpline that deal with Exactly this issue?
Who do I talk to to fix this? And only one answer please as I getting too much info and options at once and it has the opposite reaction to me. - 19/04/2022 at 7:25 pm #207361

ParticipantBest advice – just stick with it. It’s uneasy but forgive that feeling – it’s very normal. If too much pop baby down in safe place for a few mins, breath, then re-engage.
