For me it’s just work – started my own business 3 years ago and still hasn’t taken off to a stage I can take my foot off the gas.
I haven’t had a whole holiday that hasn’t been filled with work in all that time.

Maybe ask your family friend to speak to her? Sometimes it’s better coming from someone else.
Wow! What a predicament! Tbh, I’d just ask – frame it nicely of course but you have to not just for your own peace of mind but also for your potential kid!
