As of April 12th, England has moved into Stage 2 of Lockdown easing, relaxing the restrictions that have been in place for the last three months. Whilst the country as a whole is slowly being allowed to get back into the swing of normal life, with the ever-changing rules, it can be confusing as to what we are allowed to do!
Children
All children are able to go to childcare and indoor activity places, with parent and child groups being allowed indoors again. Parent and child groups must be limited to 15 people, however, children under five and any of the staff or volunteers are not counted.
Zoos, Theme Parks, and Libraries are open again, so if you are stuck for ideas for days out, this weekend is a brilliant time to escape the house!
Meeting Friends And Family
You can meet people outdoors, however, this hasn’t changed from the rule of 6 that came into play on March 29th. You can either meet with 6 from multiple households, or just two family bubbles.

Shops and Indoor Businesses
This stage has reopened all shops and businesses. Hairdressers and beauty salons can reopen, so if you have struggled with the scissors alone, don’t fear the barber will quickly sort you out!
Gyms and Spas are also opening again today, meaning that swimming pools are are back and ready for lessons!
Restaurants and Pubs are OPEN!
While you might be able to get your favourite pint at the pub again, you can only do so if you are sitting outdoors. This might be a little chilly at first with snow forecast in some parts of the country, so a thick coat is essential if you don’t want to do the washing up!

Staycations
Families can now take a holiday in England so long as it is in self-contained accommodation. A cottage getaway sounds like the perfect treat after months stuck in the same house!
Driving Lessons
With indoor activities back up and running, driving lessons are also able to restart, with tests opening again on the 22 April. This is brilliant for parents who are petrified of driving with their children on the roads!
