That is very true, but I think if you hear the term TheDadsnet, you are more likely to think “Oh, a Mumsnet for Dads, great”.
I hear what you re saying about branding a company with a name, but you’ve nothing to lose doing so, yet calling something Red Fish or whatever, isn’t going to help you much either!
Alternatively, the name may bring in many new members who weren’t aware of what The Dad Network was, but now instantly recognise what it is as the name has become a general term in every day use.
Always two sides to an opinion. :)
Interested to know why you’re ‘firmly against’ the name change? Does it make any difference if the Community is now at least as good as it was before, if not better with the new forum and much better way of being able to search, join and/or create a community?
