Gender stereotypes have plagued this country for a long time.
Who said that men can’t wear make-up?
Who decided that being a brick layer was a manly job?
Why couldn’t I play with a Barbie when I was 8 years old?
We’re now seeing a massive cultural shift where women and men apply for the same jobs, clothes and toys are increasingly gender neutral and more men than ever before are self-tanning, waxing, wearing skinny jeans and having pedicures.
Now, I must state at this point that I am not one of these men and probably never will be, purely because I’m not that interested. And I’m lazy. A bit of under arm roll-on, shower gel and a beard trim and I’m all groomed out!
However, after 10 months of no sleep and under increasing pressure form the wife to the care of myself, I have recently discovered Regal Gentleman!
Regal Gentleman is an online male grooming retailer aiming to meet all of mans grooming needs. They choose the products they stock very carefully and each one has been tried and tested before becoming part of Regal Gentleman’s range.
I’ve been trying out Dr Harris & Co Ltd moisturiser cream and exfoliating scrub and I have pleasantly surprised myself. I never thought I would enjoy rubbing cream over my face, but turns out, I do. Aged 27, I’m not thinking about wrinkles and bad skin just yet, but like my bike, if I look after it now, it will last much longer.
I still don’t think I’ll make it all the way to administering guy liner and using hair straighteners, but a bit of mens moisturiser here and there is only going to benefit me. Thanks Regal Gentleman for showing me an alternative way!
