There is nothing better than knowing that us dads are not alone and that there is a fantastic network of like minded dads trying their very best to be the best dad they can be. In the short while I have been blogging I have come across some amazing other Dad Bloggers and I’m privileged to have had the opportunity to get to know one of them a little bit better. I asked Darren a few questions:

#1 In 1 sentence, tell us a bit about yourself? (Or however many you like…)

Hiya I am Darren or as many will know me One Dad Three Girls (now Photalife) I am a dad to two amazing girls and the 3rd girl in my life is my wife.

#2 What are your blogs about and what made you start them?

My main blog is One Dad Three Girls (now Photalife) which started up as a blog to keep as an online diary. A place to store memories and share our experiences. My other blog is Love All Dads which is a place to showcase dad bloggers from all over the world. It was always the hope to help raise the profile of other dad bloggers.

#3 You’ve recently won some awards at BritMums live?

It’s true I am still in shock. I was honoured to have won the award for Social Media and as part of the LoveAllDads Podcast team, we won the award for Innovate. It’s the first award I’ve ever won for blogging and I hope it won’t be the last…I have the buzz for it now.

#4 Some of your photo’s are fantastic, where did your love of photography come from?

Thank you, I’ve always had a love for photography even before I started blogging and social media. I used to be part of a few photography forums and over time it just developed and it’s a wonderful way to interact with people.

#5 I’m an expectant father, as you know, so what 3 tips would you give me as an expectant father?

The first thing is to be prepared for the hospital as you can be there for a long time. Secondly, enjoy those first few moments as they really fly past so quickly. And last of all get stuck in, things like changing the nappy will earn you brownie points and it is also a great time to bond with the new born.

#6 What’s the best thing about being a dad?

The best thing is seeing them develop into things of beauty. I could spend hours just watching my children and everyday they will amaze you.

Darren is a great blogger with 2 amazing blogs. Love All Dads is a brilliant showcase of so many fantastic blogs. Both blogs are well worth taking a look at.

Thank you Darren for taking the time out of your life to speak to me, and what with all the awards, I’m sure you are very busy!
