“At what age can you take a baby camping?”
“How can you soothe a teething baby?”
“My wife is hormonal and tired and I don’t know how to help her?”
“My partner won’t wake up for the baby!”
“Is it ethically wrong for football teams to spend £55m on 1 player?”
“What’s the best gadget every dad should have?”
“What should I buy my husband for his birthday?”
“Which car seat is the best?”
Wouldn’t it be great if you could get all your questions answered? Well, keep reading…
As many of you will know, we run a private Facebook group just for dads. That group now has over 1100 members, and it’s certainly become my go-to place for any advice, questions and dad conversations. (I used to Google, now I ask the group!) We chat mainly about parenting, but all kinds of other things too; FIFA, advice on relationships, gadgets etc. It’s a great place to just be ourselves. (Someone described it as the online pub!)
Anyway, this group has been hugely successful in supporting dads and providing a place for support and encouragement. (For me too!) In light of this success, we’ve created a parent forum too. Not just for dads, but for parents. Of course, there is a section just for dads, but we wanted to make a space for all parents to be able to share and communicate with each other. So….. The Dad Network Forum has been born!
It’s really easy to use. Either use the link in our menu bar, or click this link. We’ve created a few general forums to get it started, but now it’s down to you to create your own topics. Whatever is on your parenting mind, share it/ask it/state it/show it.
The aim of the forum is simple; to encourage & support each other on our parenting journeys.
We’d like to ask you to help us promote and share the forum with other parents. Invite your twitter followers, your FB friends, your NCT buddies… The more people that join in, the better the support for us all.
Lastly, all forums are at risk of people abusing them. It’d be great if you could take 2 minutes to cast your eye over our forum rules here.
I look forward to chatting to you more in the forum.
