Don't miss a thing

Let’s start off our Christmas gift ideas 2018 with some big hitting Christmas gifts, each chosen by a British Toy Inventor, toy expert and blogger for The Dadsnet, Nick Farnsworth.  Nick makes Little Sport Star toys and spends each year checking out what’s hot.  This year he’s picked out these amazing toys.

(Number 3 is a little biased).

LEGO

Lego Ninajago Dieselnaut – RRP  £89.99 (Available  at  John Lewis and  Amazon)

LEGO is a firm household favourite and won’t let you down for a present. We’ve highlighted this set from Ninjago but there are so many great LEGO sets to choose from. From Minifigure packs (£2.99) to the enormous LEGO Disney (£299) – similar to the one David Beckham made his kids.  If in doubt which LEGO set to buy, we recommend any toy from the LEGO City range for boys and girls, and all ages.

Ezyroller

Available on Amazon

I would like to think you’ve seen it first here.  Introducing “Ezyroller“.  Remember the name!  If you buy this, everyone will be asking you what it is called.  The classic model, which is great, costs £75.  The more expensive models have the sliding feature, which is a cool bonus.

Ezyroller hail from New Zealand, but already massive in the USA.  Your child just needs a flat bit of ground or footpath and away they go.

Little Sport Star

Sporty toys for babies.

The only football activity gym for babies
Little Sport Star – football baby activity gym

Kick off your baby’s first Christmas with their first goal in the Little Sport Star football activity gym. This is the only baby activity gym and playmat in the style of a football pitch. The gym has sold well in the USA, where they insisted on calling it a soccer gym! We think this is best baby gym for football families, and maybe even Dad-in-waiting, Prince Harry who we know loves his sport.

Kurio Watch

Looking for kids tech? Check out Kurio which specialise in safe and friendly tech for kids. The Kurio watch caught my attention because it comes with some classic games such as ‘Snake’.  The watch encourages kids to get active, featuring a fitness tracker monitor so kids can monitor how fast they can run.

Turbo Jetts

Turbo Jetts (£129)

Gadgets are getting even more awesome! Just watch this video that shows you how to set up your Turbo Jetts and how to get moving.  Unlike several gadgets, these are easy to set up and they are so much fun.

Slime factory

Slime is all the rage at the moment. It’s messy, it’s goo and it reminds me of Scooby Doo! (I couldn’t resist!) With slime, you won’t go wrong this Christmas with the kids and this set teaches them how to make it themselves.

Squeezamels

Squeezamels are a type of ‘squishies‘, and if you haven’t noticed, they are the toy of the moment. Let me be honest, as a toy inventor, I wish I had invented the squishy – simple but brilliant.

There are lots of different styles to choose from too – cats, corgis, ladybugs, not only unicorns!
