My hubby said this was like reading his thoughts! Can totally agree with every single feeling! And that newborn picture… Absolutely fanatic! One to show future girlfriends for sure :)

“3 hours to have a bowl of cereal” – Ha. ha, that’s funny, mine are 10 and 15 and it can still take me an hour and a half to get a good cup of tea in the morning :/

  3. Al TheDadNetwork

Oh dear! It doesn’t get easier then?Don’t think we have had a hot drink since he was born! Cold cups have become ornaments in our home!!

  4. Farmer's Wife and Mummy

Oh dear I had forgotten most of this and it’s too late now hehe. Great refresher course in parenting newborns. The NHS should print this out and hand to all parents as they enter the maternity ward ;) #BumpsToBabies

Love this list. Agree with bath time, the hub and I have always bathed with H. Just easier. Obviously not all three of us in the bath, that would be a squeeze!

  6. Mummy Fever

The 3 hours to have a bowl of cereal made me smile and nod in agreement #TheList

      Unbelievable isn’t it!

Ah I remember them all well! The snuggles and the smell of them has to be a high, and that feeling of all consuming love! For me the low was definitely not knowing why she was crying and not producing enough milk for her and feeling I’d failed her when I had to give her a bottle! 18 months ago and gearing up to do it again in 16 weeks!!! x

Hi Al! Fun to hear a dad’s perspective! Sleep deprivation is the absolute worst! It does awful things to your emotions and ability to function – you can see how it’s a form of torture!! Oh the poo explosions!! Mustard. Everywhere!

You sum it up so well. I can’t believe my little boy is 1 now, it feels like yesterday he was a tiny newborn that I had no idea what to do with. I don’t miss the poo explosions. >_<

Aww, I’d forgotten half of this (particularly the 3 hours to have a bowl of cereal!) – it really is a blur with some lovely highs and tough lows!

Thanks for linking up to #TheList
